Where Can I Find Medical Marijuana Cards? New York’s medical cannabis qualifying conditions are among the most restrictive in the country. Although there is no requirement for residents to be registered, it is highly recommended that you become registered. This will help you avoid arrest, keep the Card in good standing, and helps other states to recognize your presence. There are many registered, certified clinics and pharmacies throughout New York State that offer the medical cannabis card program to qualified patients and do not require a doctor’s recommendation.

To become a cardholder, you must visit one of the designated clinics and apply to be a cardholder by filling out the necessary forms. Once you complete the application, you will receive your Medical Marijuana Card. You can then walk into any New York City pharmacy or clinic and hand the card over to the staff. It does not matter if you feel like you don’t meet all the requirements for eligibility to purchase, you will still be allowed to legally buy and consume the medical marijuana. However, if you do try, you may find that it is easier to become a cardholder than to actually consume the substance because of the penalties associated with breaking the law.
